Korean Food Jokbal

Today is March 8th and in many countries, with the exception of Korea, people celebrate the International Women's Day. So, my sweetheart arranged a dinner for me at the new restaurant in Daejeon – Sodamae, where the main dishes are Jokbal and Bossam. Luckily today was the opening day and there was 50% discount for the dishes. We ordered jokbal and it was delicious! So, what is jokbal?
Jokbal is Korean cuisine made of pig feet. It is served with vegetables such as lettuce leaves, garlic, kimchi, radish salad and ssamjang sauce.

I love restaurants with flowers ^^
Although jokbal is usually eaten as a cold dish, an interesting feature I have noticed at the Sodamae restaurant is that meat is warmed up by a steam, which comes from the water heated with a candle. It adds some kind of piquancy to the dinner :) We also drank Korean rice wine  makkoli and got jumokpab as a bonus!
Ah! A director of the restaurant saw me taking these pictures and he offered free dinner if there are guests who got to know about the restaurant from me. So, if you go there  say "Hi" from Yelena and Michael ;)
